REEL ROCK Film Tour announces 2016 lineup and tour dates, CSU among tour stops

Like all sports, rock climbing has its athletes that are born to excel. But while other athletes have the Olympics or a televised season, rock climbers have REEL ROCK Film Tour.

REEL ROCK Film Tour is a traveling film tour that aims to celebrate the rock climbing community through their energetic live shows that include appearances from athletes and filmmakers.

REEL ROCK Tour 11 announced the lineup and tour dates for it’s eleventh year, which includes a stop at CSU.

The lineup includes five new rock-climbing films from Big Up Productions and Sender Films. Two of the most anticipated films that will be featured in the REEL ROCK tour include “Young Guns” and “Rad Dad.”

“Young Guns” follows the story of two teenagers, Ashima Shiraishi and Kai Lightner, as attempt to concur a V15 boulder in Japan.

“Rad Dad” tells the story of Mike Libecki, a new father, as he struggles to balance his parenting with climbing.

RELL ROCK Film Tour will be coming to CSU on Wednesday, October 12. The show will take place in the Lory Student Center Theater at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at for $18 before October 12, or for $20 at the door.
