Fort Collins celebrates Beer Week

From now until Saturday night, Fort Collins is celebrating its annual Beer Week with brews and events popping up around town, all of which lead up to this weekend’s Colorado Brewers’ Festival, the largest outdoor beer festival in the state of Colorado.

Odell, New Belgium and a variety of other craft breweries from Fort Collins all have something special to give to a week dedicated to their brews.

Many restaurants have special brews being tapped just for this week. Others are pairing food items with a variety of beers. Meanwhile, breweries in Old Town have events and games ready to celebrate the week with their own special and sometimes discounted brews.

Thursday

Beer Collins Tourney Journey
5-7 p.m. at Funkwerks, 1900 E. Lincoln Ave.

Blood, Sweat, and Beer
7 p.m. at the Lyric, 300 E. Mountain Ave.

Geeks Who Drink
7-9 p.m. at Pateros Creek, 242 N. College Ave.

Snowbank Brewing and Happy Lucky’s Teahouse collaboration release
Noon at Snowbank Brewing, 225 N. Lemay Ave.

Friday

Mini-bike slow ride contest
$2. 4-7 p.m. at Road 34, 1213 W. Elizabeth St.

Ramskeller beer school
4-6 p.m. at the Ramskeller in the Lory Student Center.

Fire Pit Friday
5-8 p.m. at the Red Cross of Northern Colorado, 2351 Busch Dr.

Colorado Brewer’s Festival
11 a.m.-5 p.m. in downtown Fort Collins.

Brewers Festival after party
5 p.m. at the Fort Collins Brewery, 1020 E. Lincoln Ave.
