Willow Engle

Willow Engle, Copy Chief

Approaching her three-year anniversary of working for The Collegian, Willow Engle is thrilled to enter her second semester as the publication’s copy chief.

Engle began working at The Collegian in the first semester of her freshmen year as a reporter, but she quickly found a home as a copy editor. There she met some of her closest friends and found work she’s deeply passionate about. Engle hasn’t known a time at Colorado State University without The Collegian, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Entering her junior year at CSU, Engle is pursuing an English degree with a minor in art history. She is deeply passionate about writing and teaching, and she hopes to go to graduate school after graduating, with the eventual hope of pursuing a career in academia. Engle loves her work at The Collegian because it allows her to interact with other writers in order to provide high-quality journalism to the local community.

When not gossiping with Executive Editor Claire Vogl in the newsroom, Engle can be found hanging out with her best friend and her cat Jaundice, writing poetry or making playlists. Her friends would describe her as “opinionated,” “a diva” and “somehow always eating Nissin Cup Noodles,” but she prefers “passionate,” “confident” and “consistent.”
