Kelly Kennedy, Colorado State University alumnus and health policy reporter for USA Today, was scheduled to speak at CSU today in the Lory Student Center North Ballroom. Due to weather inclement weather in Washington D.C. Kennedy’s trip has been cancelled.
According to the Weather Channel, the current weather conditions in D.C are partly cloudy and zero inches of snow have accumulated. The weather is predicted to be in the high 40s with zero percent precipitation.
The Adult Learners and Veteran Services, ASAP, ASCSU, the Department of English, the Alumni Association and the Department of Journalism and Technical Communications sponsored the event. The event was scheduled for Thursday, March 7 at 4 p.m. and was going to be followed by a reception and a book signing in the Cherokee Park Ballroom.
According to the CSU Alumni Association, the event has not been rescheduled.
