Two firefighters were injured while searching for additional occupants in a house fire located north of Fort Collins at approximately 3 a.m. on Monday June 11. The fire was initially reported as a camper fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found that the fire had spread to a one story house. The five occupants had already safely escaped the house before the firefighters arrived. The two injured firefighters were transported to Poudre Valley Hospital with minor burns.
There is extensive damage to the home, mostly to the roof and living area.
Investigators are working on determining the origin and cause of the fire. No further information is available at this time.
