Police officers and a fire crew responded to Braiden Hall around 11 a.m. Monday after alarms were set off in a student lounge due to some burnt food.
Dell Rae Ciaravola, Colorado State University public information officer, said it is not uncommon for such an incident to occur on campus.
“(A) very loose stat is that a fire truck or ambulance visits campus on average 1-3 times a day,” Ciaravola wrote in an email to the Collegian. “CSU is like a small city with about 30,000 people on campus every day, and thousands of people living on campus. It’s not unusual for a fire truck or ambulance to be needed in a population of that size anywhere, on or off campus.”
