The City of Fort Collins and Colorado State University are near completion of an Intergovernmental Agreement which will mitigate potential impacts due to construction of the on-campus stadium, according to a press release.
Construction and stadium operation will impact the community and surrounding neighborhoods, and several issues will be addressed through the IGA. Some issues include: transportation improvements for vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians, neighborhood relations and infrastructure improvements.

IGA agenda documents from the City of Fort Collins propose a new surface lot on Centre Avenue and a new parking structure on the corner of College Avenue and West Pitkin Street.
Pedestrian and bicycle crossings are proposed for two locations on Laurel Street and two locations on West Pitkin Street. The documents outline turn lanes and intersection improvements on Shields Street, Prospect Road and College Avenue.
Staff from CSU and the city will present the proposed IGA at a Planning and Zoning Board work session March 6 at 2:30 p.m at City Hall. The meeting will be televised on Cable Channel 14.
There will be no opportunity for public comment at this work session, according to the press release.
The IGA will be considered by City Council March 17. Public comment will be allowed at this meeting.
CSU President Tony Frank and City Manager Darin Atteberry both support this plan, according to the press release.
“We believe our community and the IGA will benefit from engaging the expertise of the Planning and Zoning Board,” Frank said in the press release.
