Fort Collins police have identified the bicyclist as CSU student Michael Patterson of Colorado Springs. Patterson is being treated at the Medical Center of the Rockies for serious injuries after a hit and run accident last night.
Police are still searching for the suspect who fled the scene in a white four-door sedan and have released composite sketches of the woman.
Update at 10:01 p.m.
It has been confirmed by Fort Collins police that the bicyclist involved in the accident was a 21-year-old CSU student and was transported by ambulance to the Medical Center of the Rockies.
His name has not been released at this time.
Update at 8:45 p.m.
The collision between bicycle and vehicle has been reported as a hit and run according to Sergeant Heaton of Fort Collins PD.
The suspect fled the scene in a white four-door sedan. The vehicle is reported to have damage to the left front end.
Police described the suspect as a female caucasian, approximately 175 to 200 lbs, with long dark hair and wearing a pink shirt.

Update at 7:45 p.m.
According to dispatch, northbound Shields is still closed after a bicycle and car collision.
There is no evidence to suggest that alcohol was involved and officers are still investigating the scene.
It is unknown if CSU students were involved. All that is known at this time is that the biker is a male.

Northbound Shields Street is closed until further notice after a collision between a bicycle and a vehicle off Shields and Laurel Street.
There are injuries reported. According to Fort Collins emergency dispatch, there are police and ambulances on scene.
It is unclear at what time the road will reopen.
