At approximately 12:45 p.m. Friday afternoon an accident occurred on College Ave. just south of Laurel. A full size semi truck was in the left lane going north when a blue dodge sedan switched lanes, cutting off the semi and swiped the bumper of the semi.

The car ended up on the center median, hitting a tree. The driver, Amy Plumb, is currently at the hospital but did not show substantial injuries at the site of the crash. The driver of the semi was not hurt in the accident but the semi’s bumper was damaged.

There was significant damage to the left side of Plumb’s car, according to Sgt. Rick Olthoff with the Fort Collins Police Department.
