As we approach the 2016 presidential election, weed advocates are anxious to hear the position these candidates take on a marijuana reform.
Hillary Clinton has avoided the topic, only speaking on it when asked directly, according to The Hill.
Dan Riffle, director of the Marijuana Policy Project, compares Clinton’s behavior to other candidates running.
“Hillary is probably the worst of the bunch on marijuana reform, and even she has said states should be ‘laboratories of democracy’ when it comes to legalization,” Riffle said.
Many argue that this is her campaigning strategy or that she is being advised to act this way. By keeping quiet she will upset less people, detracting from her lack of standpoint.
