Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc. is one of the 9 organizations in the Multicultural Greek Council and these organizations have a recruitment and intake process that is different than organizations in other councils. Their intake process is secret and the new members are presented to the whole community when they are fully part of their respective organization.

The new members are presented to the whole Greek Life community in a unique way as well which varies with each organization. The Beta chapter of Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc. here at CSU does a step out in which members of their organization are revealed with a presentation of information the new members have learned and it is followed by a step performance.

Monica Perez, Historian of Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc., explained, “What makes a Lambda Step Out so unique is that we not only greet organizations that are in attendance but we also sing them a song with information pertaining to their organization. For example, we sing a song with date and location the organization was founded.”

The new members also do a line step which they have learned and what is unique about this organization is that their step performance is done with machetes which are large cleaver-like knives.

So if you want to see the reveal of these new members who have worked hard to prove their worth of wearing the Greek letters of Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc., check out the LSC Center Plaza on Saturday.
