Paris Fashion Week Trends Fall 2014

Hey everyone!

This post wraps up my coverage of the ready-to-wear shows for fall. I’ll be going over trends from Paris, one of the oldest fashion weeks in the industry. We saw the chic Parisian glamour the Paris shows are known for in addition to some innovation to add a modern take to the classic designers.

1 | The first trend that we saw from Paris was the use of black. On the contrary, there was also a use of dusty pink as well.

2 | Paris also showed us a feminine chic style, fairly typical of the style of the city. This juxtaposed the masculine influences that has been ubiquitous for the season.

3 | Fury textures once again ruled the runway in Paris. Like in the previous cities, textures such as velvet, fur and fringe ruled outerwear.

4 | Asymmetric hemlines were seen in skirts and dresses in Paris. These are used to emphasize a look of elongation of the body.

Key Colors: black, white, camel, forest green, blood red, bright red, khaki, dusty pink, winter coral
