This year something exciting happens: Thanksgiving and Hanukkah fall on the same day!
Thanksgivukkah, as it is called, is the collaboration of two very different holidays. Thanksgiving is a time for people to give thanks for the blessings they have, and Hanukkah is the celebration of the many miracles that took place.

I, for one, am very excited to be able to eat some of my favorites foods on the same day. The traditional Hanukkah food latkes or potato pancakes, and the Thanksgiving turkey will be combined into one meal.
Although Hanukkah starts the night before Thanksgiving begins, it is still exciting. It is not every year that you get to celebrate two holidays on the same day. Another amazing thing about Thanksgivukkah is that it will not happen again until the year 79811. It is a time to be with family and friends and celebrate all the amazing things that have happened since the previous Thanksgiving, as well as all the things that have happened since the very first Hanukkah.
It is also a time to be thankful to be alive and for all the amazing things that surround you. In Judaism, we give thanks every day for the things in our lives. Thanksgivukkah is a time to remember all the things, maybe the things that you do not always think.
