The Academic All-Mountain West honorees for fall 2015 were announced by the conference Thursday. A total of 567 student-athletes were recognized for their excellence in the classroom.
Of those 567 student-athletes honored, 48 were Colorado State Rams, a record total for the athletic program, surpassing the 2013 record of 47. Members of all five fall varsity athletic programs – men’s and women’s cross-country, football, volleyball and soccer – were honored.
In order to qualify for Academic All-Mountain West status, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic semester at the member institution, have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better and have competed in at least 50 percent of the team’s varsity contests this past season.
