It’s my favorite time of the year! I love the warmth in a light spring rain, which can be a rarity in Colorado. Although the rain is definitely needed for Colorado’s dry nature, how does it affect the Re•vitalization of the Lory Student Center? From my exploration on weather effects on outdoor construction projects, I discovered:
– Heavy rain pour can cause building delays; the rain can turn a construction site into a huge mud hole, hindering access to the site.
– Supplies, like drywall or wood, can become moldy
– Concrete deliveries may be delayed due to humidity or wetness
Colorado has never been known to have significantly heavy rain in the spring time. If it does occur, our construction team will be well prepared. In other words, there’s not much of anything for us to be worried about.
