Pumpkins are placed on display for the carved pumpkin contest during Pumpkins on Parade at the Gardens on Spring Creek Oct. 26
Fall festivities are in no shortage throughout Fort Collins, including at the Gardens on Spring Creek. The Gardens’ annual Pumpkins on Parade Halloween celebration returned for four nights with its glowing gardens and stunning pumpkins Oct. 23-26.
Presented by Ace Hardware, the Gardens on Spring Creek hosted their annual event for all Fort Collins community members to enjoy. The celebration held a variety of displays and decorations, festive fall activities and themed zones for people of all ages.
“You can really feel, like, the Halloween spirit here, but it’s not in a scary way,” volunteer Selena Avalos said. “It’s more just like in a warm and cozy way.”
Pumpkin displays were featured all across the grounds, including some creations from Cool Hand Ice Carving. Each pumpkin displayed very close attention to detail, giving the event a spooky and authentic feel.
“I love the carved pumpkins,” volunteer Sarah Tomlinson said. “They have been one of the hottest hits of the night.”
Regionally grown giant pumpkins were also featured throughout the event, with donations from Brad Bledsoe, Andy and Amy Corbin, Sue Jonson and the Schroeder Family. Winning Fort Collins Nursery’s 2025 Annual Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off with a weight of 1,957 pounds, Andy and Amy Corbin have broken several records with their pumpkin growing skills.

Alongside the decorations, the event featured nightly live entertainment for families to tune in to. Ranging from magic shows, live music and photo opportunities, each gave the night a true thrilling ambiance.
“It’s been fun to just see full families come out and enjoy the night. I think it’s especially fun when it’s dark and the lights are on.” –Sarah Tomlinson, Pumpkins on Parade volunteer
The celebration also presented a magic show by Tim Pendergast — professionally known as TimFoolery the Magician. With his magic tricks and tidbits, the customized show allowed for audiences to connect with the wonders of magic.
“My favorite part about doing this is just seeing the kids get that look on their face where they get to see that fascination,” Pendergast said. “For me, it’s a hobby, but it’s also a love.”
The event also featured several fun and festive games for children and families. With activities including pumpkin bowling and veggie toss, guests were able to participate for free candy prizes.
Local vendors were also featured throughout the event, with snacks from Mystic Moon Bakery, A-Maize’n Kettle Corn and Qmulus Creations Cotton Candy.

“I think (this event) just lets people experience that wonder that they never get to experience,” Pendergest said.
