“What the hell’s the point of imaginary numbers?” is a question I’m sure we’ve all asked ourselves at some point. Apart from being the number one source of half-formed parabolas, the answer’s got something to do with electricity, I guess. Those are numbers electrical engineers need. But what’s the deal with electricity, anyway? Learn the answer at the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery this weekend, where they’ll be putting on an event covering the topic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
What: Spring Artisan Market
Where: Senior Center (1200 Raintree Dr.)
When: Saturday, April 13 at 9 a.m.
April showers bring May flowers, and May flowers are accompanied by Mother’s Day. Show your mom you care by going to the Spring Artisan Market at the Senior Center and buying her some homemade stuff offered by local artists and vendors. Entry is $1 per person, and food and beverages are available for purchase. Also I guess you have to pay for anything you buy, but you really should be used to that by now.
What: Leftover Salmon
Where: The Aggie
When: Saturday, April 13 at 8 p.m.
If you’re reading this for information about eating other people’s leftover fish, you’re about to be disappointed. Leftover Salmon is a jam band from Boulder that plays bluegrass, rock, country and Cajun music, which according to Wikipedia the band calls “Polyethnic Cajun Slamgrass.” (The Collegian is not responsible for your grade if you use Wikipedia as a source.)
