The Fat Shack Experience

Everyone’s heard of Fat Shack, and most everyone has driven past the spot on College Avenue. However, many Rams have not experienced it. Why not? Worried about the calories? Don’t have time? Order pizza on a late Friday night instead? Not a good enough excuse. Fat Shack makes your pallet come alive, and your taste buds shout. It provides desserts, sandwiches, burgers, milkshakes and fries that excitingly surpass your typical indulgences. What are you waiting for?

Stopping into Fat Shack for an afternoon pick-me-up is one of the best decisions I’ve made. The menu was exciting to read because of the endless combinations and options and the service was more than friendly. Workers who are quick to help and offer fast service make Fat Shack an inviting hangout. With the comfy couch looking out over College Avenue and Cartoon Network for entertainment, one could practically spend their whole evening there.

If you are as excited about venturing to Fat Shack as you should be, don’t miss these popular Fat Shack Delicacies.

Fat Ram Sandwich

Cheesesteak, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, french fries and honey mustard are sandwiched together creating a cheesy, salty and sweet combination that leaves you wanting more. The Fat Ram has a perfect crunch thanks to the french fries, chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks. One bite would be impossible; the sandwich is worth the whole eight inches.

Fat Chance Sandwich

Give the Fat Chance the chance to dominate your cravings. Jalepeño poppers, cheesesteak, chicken fingers, french fries and buffalo ranch make for a spicy, crunchy fried sandwich that makes your mouth water just thinking about it. The warm buffalo ranch drips from the sandwich with each crunch. It’s the type of sandwich that you don’t pass up, and one that you’ll want more of once you’re finished.

Shack Supreme Cheeseburger

This cheeseburger brings the ultimate Fat Shack experience to your table: a delicately grilled cheeseburger inside a toasted bun stuffed with bacon, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, lettuce, tomato, ketchup and ranch. Although you could argue that every menu item deserves an applause, if you are looking for the star-of-the-show Fat Burger on the menu, this cheeseburger wins the prize.

Bacon Tex Cheeseburger

A half-pound cheeseburger is placed on a toasted bun and topped with bacon, onion rings, lettuce, tomato, barbecue sauce and ranch — making for a sweet and spicy, crunchy and rich burger to satiate your appetite. Similar to the ingredients in the Shack Supreme, this burger offers a sweeter and spicier version that leaves you feeling fulfilled.

Deep Fried Twix

I think that almost anyone could agree that there isn’t much else to say after speaking the phrase “Deep Fried Twix.” Hallelujah. If you are looking for late night munchies, an afternoon treat, or heck, even a late breakfast — Deep Fried Twix will rock your world. Hot, covered in powdered sugar, and gooey and melted on the inside, the Deep Fried Twix is a dream.

Fat Shack deserves a raving applause. Make an effort this weekend to stop by for a specialty shake, hot burger, stacked sandwich, or deep-fried treat. Let Fat Shack make your day — because it will.
