Finally, the fall semester is over and it is time for Winter Break, which means we have one month off. A month off can seem daunting to some people, while others cannot wait for its arrival. There is time over break to do what you want, so make sure you enjoy your Winter Break and do what you want to do, especially since you have been doing school for six months.
You have spent all semester stressing out and you now have four weeks off to not do homework, take tests or do projects. If you have the free time, sleep in over break and get yourself rested up before next semester. Take a day off and do nothing but watch Netflix or read a book. Take some time to yourself and let yourself have a break.
2. Hit the slopes or go the beach
Depending on where you are from, there are many options of what to do over break. If you are from Colorado or a town with skiing, hit the slopes and have fun. If you are from a place with a beach, like me, then head to the beach and rest. Wherever you are from, and whatever you like to do, do it. School breaks are a time for you to do what you want and not what you have to do.
3. Spend time with your family
While at school, it is hard to see your family when you are bogged down with assignments and studying. Take time over the break to spend quality time with your family and get back to your roots. Even if you are home for just a couple of days, spend time with family. If you take advantage of family time now, you will be able to miss them less once school comes back into play.
Whatever you do over break, make sure it is something you want to do. Relax and enjoy the break – that is what it is there for. Make sure you do not start stressing about next semester, though – you have four weeks off to do whatever you want, so do not spend that time stressing about spring semester. Make sure to stay warm this winter. Have a great break, Rams, you all deserve it.
