The five-piece folk band from Nederland, Colorado, will play this Sunday, August 14, at the free annual concert festival NewWestFest. The band features a wide variety of instruments including the banjo, mandolin, djembe and cello. Best described as a folk band, the band contains elements from multiple genres. Elephant Revival has won several awards including the Indie Acoustic Music Project’s “Best CD of the Year” not just once but twice. The band is also heavily involved in nonprofits organizations.
As part of NewWestFest, which highlights some of the biggest up and coming music acts from Colorado, Elephant Revival will play along with over 80 other bands in the course of three days. The festival kicks off this Friday, August 12, and features DeVotchKa as the first headliner. It continues on Saturday, August 13, with the headlining act The Fray. And Elephant Revival closes out the festival on Sunday evening.
