Larimer County adopted new fire restrictions on open fires and fireworks yesterday.
Included in the restrictions are bans in the unincorporated portions of Larimer County on open fires, smoking in the open, any type of firework and any incendiary device or exploding ammunition and welding.
According to the press release, the restrictions are based on a recommendation from the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office and were unanimously approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
Fires that are contained are still permitted, and the full list of restrictions can be found here. The Sheriff may also give limited exemptions from these restrictions based on pre-approval and inspection
