- Bring only the essentials.
It is much easier and safer to only bring a phone, some cash and a picture ID card you could stash in a pocket, bra, or shoe. There is nothing worse than waking up the next morning frantically searching for everything you stashed in the Marry Poppins purse you accidentally left in the bar or club.
2. Make sure your phone is 100% charged.
This may seem like an obvious step however, many of us smart phone users know how unreliable the battery life could be, as the percentage drops from 70% to 15% in a matter of a few Snapchat videos.
3. Hook keys to your shoe, jeans or belt.
This is a great way to lessen the chances of losing your house or apartment keys after a late night out. Unless you also lose your shoes, jeans or belt in the process, then I think you need more help than just a 5-step guide in the Collegian.
4. Transportation is key.
Along with DJ Khaled’s “keys to success”, transportation is anotha one. Always ensure that you have a safe ride back home. Some ways to ensure this is to always go out with a designated driver, download the Uber app, save the number for a taxi in your phone, or the number for Ramride as well.
5. Cash instead of card.
This is the simplest way to save money, especially as a college student. It is way too easy to get sucked into the never ending cycle of “just one more drink”. Bringing a limited amount of cash could help pace and limit the amount of money spent on one night.
