Chilean President Michelle Bachelet released a document to the Associated Press Friday announcing that marijuana will be removed from the list of ‘hard drugs’ in Chile, according to the Eagle-Tribune.
The decree will also allow pharmacies to sell medicine derived from cannabis. A Chilean municipality has been testing the effects of marijuana on cancer patients. The research project began in October 2014, and will continue if it proves to be successful.
