Designers from all around the world showcased their Spring 2016 Collections at New York Fashion Week (NYFW). Audiences were exposed to a culmination of different designs that featured some of 2016’s most fashionable trends. Here are the five styles to be on the look out for this spring:
1. Fabulous Fringed Hems:
Fringe has officially made its comeback. Specifically, fringe hemmed dresses. This bohemian style was fashionable and edgy in the Kate Spade New York Spring 2016 Collection.
2. 90’s Inspired:
The 90’s grunge style was everywhere at NYFW. Alexander Wang’s Spring 2016 Collection was filled with oversized hoodies and parachute pants. This look is stylish, comfortable, and totally wearable.
3. Romantic Ruffles:
Usually, I would only support the wearing of ruffles on children, but the ruffled dresses at NYFW were surprisingly stylish and sophisticated, especially in the Michael Kors Spring 2016 Collection.
4. Sensual Slip Dresses:
Slip dresses will be returning to stores this spring. This bold look was particularly prevalent in the Calvin Klein Spring 2016 Collection, which featured long and elegant slip dresses.
5. Cold Shoulder:
Off-the-shoulder tops and cut-out-shoulders dresses will be trending this spring. This style is perfect for the transition between winter and summer. The exposed shoulder look was especially chic in the Trina Turk Spring 2016 Collection.
