Members of the Associated Students of Colorado State University are encouraging student input on city policies by bringing local politicians to the CSU campus.
“We would like to have a larger role in the Capitol to represent students,” said ASCSU Director of Governmental Affairs Clayton King.
Arndt is a Colorado Representative for District 53, which includes Fort Collins. She will be speaking at the Senate meeting to discuss the process of the Colorado General Assembly and gather student input. The meeting is open to the public.
King said he wants to create a more personal relationship between CSU students and Arndt.
“We are a part of the community, and it is important that students get involved,” King said. “This is a great way to start off the year of Senate, opening those doors and relationships with representatives.”
