Cathy Kipp, vice president of the Poudre School District Board of Education, announced this week she will seek a second term on the board.
“I would love the opportunity to continue serving the community in my role on the school board and continue moving our district forward,” Kipp said in a press release.
During Kipp’s first term, the board hired a new superintendent of schools, increased parent and community partnerships and strengthened its education advocacy role.
If reelected in November for a second term, Kipp plans to oversee the implementation of the new board goals for students, continue the strong board advocacy with legislators and continue fostering the partnership between the school district and community, according to a press release.
Kipp lives in District A and is the parent of two PSD students. She volunteered in PSD schools and on multiple PSD committees before running for the board of education.
