To him, the environmental elements of his business aren’t done to be promoted—several times throughout the evening he mentioned Stella McCartney, a Kering brand that uses animal-free materials, explaining, “She doesn’t do that to sell handbags. She does that because that’s the way she is, that’s the way the brand is. And it works very well.””
