Although some attendees expressed support for the stadium, one former student expressed his concern that adding the stadium could “ruin” Tony Frank’s career and reputation.
A CSU alumna explained how she has been part of plenty of protests to not have the stadium built.
“CSU as a corporation was basically like, ‘f*** off, we’re gonna build it anyway,'” she said.
None of the speakers provided their names to the reporter.
Frank thanked them for their opinions and explained that he will no longer discuss this issue before moving on to more questions.
The President addressed many issues at the open forum in the North Ballroom of the Lory Student Center. Issues ranged from fossil fuels and transportation to making the school more environmentally friendly.
Frank also said they will announce the new athletic director “in the next week or two.”
Although Tony Frank does host these annual open forums, his office doors are always open for students to bring up their concerns.
