Fort Collins is one of the best places for beer. We have about 13 breweries in this little town, and that number is constantly growing. With all these breweries popping up, it is hard to keep up with them. Here are a few that you definitely need to try if you have not already.
225 North Lemay Ave., Suite 1
Snowbank only has a few beers, but every single one is delicious. Even the newer beer drinker will love every single beer. Snowband also comes out with a specialty beer every couple months for the adventurous beer drinker. They collaborate with Nuance Chocolate quite a bit, such as their Chocolate Covered Cherry Stout or S’mores Stout.
4612 South Mason St., #120
Zwei Bruder, as you guessed, specializes in German-style beers, and they have made an art of it. They have 14 beers currently on tap and are open later than most breweries around town. The atmosphere is the perfect blend of mountain and city chic with a large amount of wood on the inside and giant silver garage doors on the sides that open on warm days.
124 Racquette Dr.
Tucked away east of Old Town is Horse and Dragon Brewing Co. This cozy little building is great for a quick drink with some friends; it feels like you are right at home. They have 11 different delicious choices for beer. One of the best is the Sad Panda Coffee Stout; it is fun to say and even more fun to drink.
1900 East Lincoln Ave.
Although they have been around for a while, they are often overlooked because they are so far away from the other breweries. Funkwerks specializes in saisons, which are lighter beers. It is easy to spend a sunny afternoon here. They have a beautiful patio with benches and the classic backyard game, bags. You can stay and have a few brews and play bags with your friends; it feels like you are right in your own backyard.
