The Colorado High School Press Association will hold J-Day at the Lory Student Center this Thursday, uniting high school newspapers and yearbooks from around the state. In honor of the completion of the LSC, this year’s theme is “Feels Like Home.”
The 58 J-Day sessions will discuss the topics of broadcast journalism, web and social media, design, photojournalism, writing, staff organization, the present and future of media, press law and ethics.
Seventy presenters will speak at the sessions, including Colorado State University faculty. Some of the CSU faculty speakers include Journalism & Technical Communications Department Chair Greg Luft and instructors Darrell Blair and Clarissa Crozier.
The opening session will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the awards session is planned to end by 2 p.m.
Registration costs $20 per CHSPA member student or adviser.
