The Poudre River Gallery in Fort Collins will feature an exhibit during November titled “Freedom Isn’t Free,” showcasing artwork about the U.S. military.
The exhibit includes digital art, beading, paintings, memorabilia, prints from WWI and WWII posters and photographs.
“This is a very moving exhibition,” said Becky Hawley, marketing director of Poudre Studio Artists and Galleries. “Politics and war are emotional subjects. I believe this exhibit has pieces that help you stand in the shoes of someone who may have had a different experience than you.”
The opening reception for the exhibit, which runs Nov. 1 through Dec.1, will be held during the Fort Collins First Friday Gallery Walk on Nov. 2 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Many of the artists will be at the reception and most of the work is available for sale.
