Best-selling author Bill Bryson will be speaking on Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m. in the Lory Student Center Grand Ballroom.
Bryson is an internationally recognized travel author, writing about his humorous stories such as hiking on the Appalachian Trail or his travels as an American in Britain. His book A Walk in the Woods has been turned into a film starring Robert Redford and Emma Thompson. He currently lives in England.
His newest book, The Road to Little Dribbling, depicts his return to Britain, traveling to Cape Wrath from Bognor Regis. During his visit to CSU, he will talk about his humorous tales in more detail.
The event is part of Morgan Library’s author series, and has partnered with organizations such as the Poudre River Public Library District and Friends of the Poudre River Public Library District to promote literacy in the local Fort Collins community.
“Once you hear an author speak about their book and everything, it makes you definitely want to read it more often,” Morgan Library Director of Strategic Relationships David Ramsay said.
Tickets are available on CSUTIX.com and are $25 for CSU students with an ID, and $55 for general admission. So far around 700 tickets have been sold.
Signed hardcover copies of the new book, The Road to Little Dribbling, will be available at the event to purchase.
